Recently, I took on the task of building a closet organizer. It was the perfect opportunity to sort through the clutter that was building up in my closet. Before starting, I had to clear out the closet, and to my surprise, the contents from the modest 12-square-foot space almost overran my office. Among the clothes, I unearthed old backpacks, photography gear, and even hunting equipment.
We often overlook what’s stored in our physical and mental closets. Items we’re hesitant to discard but prefer to keep out of sight typically end up there. Closets are convenient for storage, keeping items hidden yet accessible when needed. Nevertheless, it’s crucial to periodically declutter our closets, evaluating what’s worth keeping, whether it benefits us, or if it’s merely unnecessary ‘baggage’ that we should release.
