Do You Have a Reservation?

It was a nice day, and on a whim, I decided to play a round of golf at Western Greens. Normally, a midweek, mid-morning tee time wouldn’t be an issue. However, to my dismay, upon arrival, the attendant informed me there were no available slots. The course didn’t seem crowded, and I felt I could’ve played without disrupting any scheduled players, but I respected the attendant’s decision.
Nowadays, it seems you have to schedule everything in advance. With the rising demand for activities and the convenience of online booking, spontaneity is becoming a rarity. Some outdoor spots even require reservations for a simple hike to limit daily foot traffic.
Gone are the days when you could casually stroll onto a golf course for a quick round, find a campsite with ease, or secure a hotel room on a whim. I understand the benefits of planning ahead, but sometimes, I long for the freedom of impromptu adventures.
